Terms  and Conditions

In relation to the supply of the service to you (the customer):

The service provided by Sand Safaris 2014 Ltd includes the provision of sightseeing tours by passenger-carrying vehicles.

Enquiries and confirmation emails are written in English.

Bookings:

Book with us directly (09 408 1778 / Freephone 0800 86 90 90) or email info@sandsafaris.co.nz

Alternatively, bookings may be done at various local hotels in Ahipara and Kaitaia, certain Information Centres or the NZ Tourism Guide website.

We require that you confirm your booking with us at least 24 hours before departure.

Passengers should keep their receipts and/or vouchers safe as replacements will not be issued.  Customers are required to show and give their receipts and/or vouchers to the tour driver at boarding time.

 

Tour Prices:

All prices are stated in NZ dollars and include GST

 

Cancellations and refunds:

If you have booked and paid for your tour, but for any reason (bad weather, sickness, etc…), you are unable to join the tour, you may re-book for another day, this does not incur any additional fees.

If you wish to cancel your tour due to unforeseen circumstances and have already paid, a 10% cancellation fee applies. This, however, is at the manager’s discretion.

Where a tour is purchased from a tour agent, any refund request must be transferred to the tour agent who sold the tour.

 

Departure points and times:

We endeavour to provide departure points and times for our Cape Reinga Tours as accurate as possible.

Alcohol/Smoking:

The consumption of alcohol is prohibited on the bus at all times. Smoking is not permitted on board the bus at all times.

Children:

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Itinerary:

We reserve the right on occasion, to cancel departures ( i.e. Severe weather warnings), arrange alternative transport, transfer our passengers onto a reputable company or alter the route.

Lost property:

Your property is your responsibility, and we do not accept liability for loss or damage of your belongings. We will do our best to look for your missing items but please check that any items you have brought on board on your trip (i.e. sunglasses, clothing, cameras, books, etc.) are accounted for before you leave the tour bus.

Services:

Sand Safaris 2014 Ltd disclaims all responsibility and liability (including without limitation, liability in negligence) for all expenses, losses, damages, accidents, injuries and costs you might incur as a result of joining our tour. This exclusion is subject to any rights or remedies you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Your email address allows us to answer your enquiries. This address is not shared with any other organisation at any time and is solely used to reply to you (the customer).
