Sand Safaris is the oldest-established Kaitaia tour company. We have small and medium-sized, air-conditioned coaches offering you a personalised tour. Our staff and drivers live right here in the far north, so they have local knowledge of all the interesting features.

Over the years we have introduced extras that make our tour different, like a picnic lunch at Tapotupotu Bay and a visit to Gumdiggers Park and the ancient buried Kauri Forest. We break the tour with stops for sand tobogganing, photographs, shellfish digging, Rarawa Beach, Gumdiggers Park, etc. Our friendly drivers and smaller numbers of passengers make your day tour more pleasurable — truly a day to remember.

We are committed to our wonderful FAR NORTH, to its ecology and its assets, and we try harder to share them with our tourist visitors.

By the way, and it's no small point, our booking office is right in the main street of Kaitaia, so it's easy to find us.
